Instructions:

1. Place the first eight ingredients in your slow cooker. Cover. Then, cook on the low setting for eight hours. Discard bay leaf and thyme.

2. Stir the tomato paste, kale kosher salt into the sausage. Shape it in 32 meatballs and arrange atop bean mixture. Cover. Cook on the high setting for 1/2 hour, till meatballs have cooked thoroughly.

3. Stir in the juice. Divide the soup in individual bowls and top them with cheese. Serve.
